The son of Mellett Etheridge and his former partner Julie Cypher have passed away Beckett Cypher, a CNN representative for the singer. He was 21 years old.
The singer mourned her son in a social media post on Wednesday.
Etheridge wrote on Twitter, “Today I join thousands of families who have lost loved ones to opioid addiction.” “My son Beckett, who was just 21, struggled to overcome his addiction and eventually succumbed today. He will be missed by those who loved him, his family and friends.”
Ether and Cyphore, who have been separated for many years, also share a daughter, Bailey.
